  1. A .22 has more stopping power. So if you need it for short distances, say 60 yards or less, a .22 cal would be best.

But a .177 cal. is faster so you have  a flatter trajectory.

Pretty much, they are both pretty accurate. .177cal may be slightly more accurate, but not by much.

  2. Since you're talking about the same make & model "Diana" RWS 34, with the same power-plant. The ME(Muzzle Energy) of the two is going to be nearly identical. Somewhere around 14.5fpe

The advantage of the .177 is it's higher velocity(flat trajectory), and inherent accuracy. If you sight-in the .177 RWS 34 at 42 yards* - You will be 1/2in low at 8 yards - right on at 14 - 1/2in high at 28 - then 1/2in low again at 48 - That's a very flat trajectory for a pellet rifle.

*Assumes use of RWS Superdome(8.3gr) pellet

  3. Your questions does not make sense

    22 vs 117 in what

  4. First of all rws guns are very high quality guns and are very accurate. I have a rws pellet gun they are very nice and i have killed many squirrels with it. Both cal.s are good ,and if you want more knock down power ,for hunting you should use the .22 but if you want more precision you should use the .177.But if you use the .177 there are pellets that gamo makes that have a bb in the front of it and give you really good knock down power.
