i need info about this subject to put it in my project and i dont know how to do the introduction

If you are introduced by someone then the next thing to do is to thank the person that introduced you and welcome your audience.  Something like this, "Thanks for the introduction Mr. Powell and I'd like to thank everyone for attending tonight's event of the study of Hamburgers and Hot Dogs"

do you mean salutation---both mean the same thing[greeting]

salutation in a polite expression of greeting or it could be a phrase  such as "dear sir" in a letter or "ladies and gentlemen" in a speech
