I don't think I am a very good actress although I haven't really ever tried my very hardest.

will acting classes make me a good actress or are people who are good actors have it naturally?

  1. i dont take acting classes...but i am in plays and musicals all the time at school, community theater, whatever i can get my hands on....to tell you the truth i think that acting should come natrually, but it will definatly improve ur skills if you try them...but keep in mind they are VERY expensive

  2. Take a class, and you will begin to see if you have talent, or more properly how your talent (we all have some) is best expressed.  It should be fun to explore this new area, and I wish you the best!

  3. Community theater is a great way to get started.  Often you have people who are just involved as a part time hobby and the pressure is lower to perform.  There are also usually lots of people who are more than willing to tell you everything they know, however little that may be.

Just the process of being in a play will take you farther than beginner lessons.  IMHO, lessons are wasted before you understand where you need help.  Participation in some plays will help point that out.
