I do not know anyone in my lunch room. HELP

I have no friends in my lunch period. i just started school(high school) and i dont know anyone and i sit by myself the other day and i felt like an outkast. iuno what to do.. i dont know anyone. should i sit at a table with kids that i think i will have stuff in common with. and how would i introduce my self to them. i would just say "sup.. my names mike" "man i dont know anyone in this lunch period *laugh*" ect." iuno what to do. and i told my guidance teacher and she said she cant do nothing. can someone give good advice. i dont want to see with outkast and feel like a r****d lol

see someone thats in ur lunch period but u also have for a class period makes friends with them and then just sit with them at lunch,u have to be more talkative if u arent already.

Thats a bad situation, but make the best of it by pin pointing kids that are in your age group and get to know them ,and then sit by them at lunch.

You can do it that way, but I think that'll be hard. If I were you, I would just talk to my classmates and then ask if I could hang with them (seeing that I'd have some stuff in common).
