I do not live next to any ponds or woods so what can i feed my baby snapping turtle.?

my turtle is basically a baby but i do not know what to feed it

  1. go to walmart and get some of those little feeder fish turtles like those


  2. how about sardines or tuna. Its a turtle, so it is a non-vegitarian.

They can eat lettuce, and other types of veggies cut up into tiny pieces, my turtles love minnows and baby shrimp and krill as well. some people give their turtles live food, as i do, but wih babies they shouldnt have to chase their food yet, as some dont know how, so i would feed them dead minnows or even goldfish, until they're older and can catch their food. Lots of different things, but turtles need a varied diet high in protein to keep them healthy. So make sure they get some veggies as well as fish, or hatchling formula if they are babies, and turtle sticks, or pellets if they're small. Good luck.

  5. Earthworms, baitfish (not goldfish), and soft-bodied insects. When you can't get live food, dust liver in bonemeal. When it becomes an adult, it might show interest in dark green leafy vegetables.
