  1. Sonic has the best onion rings

  2. they think they are god

  3. Good question!  I guess because they can and because they are the police.

  4. They are exempt from the normal laws.

  5. they are given "special priviliges" because they are law enforcement officials. They are there to stop people that are dangerously speeding or driving impaired from being on the road and possibly harming or killing you!!

  6. well around where i live

cops always have theyre parking lights on

  7. they're police bro

  8. They are NOT breaking the law.  The law specifically allows them to park ANYWHERE on the 'right of way', which actually extends beyond the pavement on both sides.  The amount of light is not an issue.

  9. Well, you start this question with a statement "I do not speed". If you do not speed why in the world do you care? I see comments here from people who are obviously incapable of doing this job so let me explain. When working radar for instance, it works better to be able to see those vehicles coming at you that are speeding. At least back in the day when I worked radar, a visual observation as well as radar was required for a conviction. A visual estimation of speed that was confirmed by the radar. Maybe the officer is watching something other than you and traffic. Maybe he/she received a call for service that requires a moment to observe what is going on? Maybe the place where you see them parked is the spot that best suits this. Maybe there is a pursuit that is coming in that direction and this place of observation is the best spot to watch for this pursuit. Maybe, maybe, maybe. There are a million reasons why an officer is parked facing "the wrong direction". By the way, where do you work? Wouldn't it be fun to come and second guess everything you do?

  10. seems to me if they were trying to catch speeders they would be facing toward the traffic, not against it. File a citizens complaint against him through your county.

  11. they have special powers!!

  12. That is not breaking the law for police to do that.  It would be impossible for a police officer to abide by every traffic law and still catch the offenders.  That is why the statutes allow for police to have certain leeways when it comes to traffic.

  13. Simply because they enforce the law. In in the process of enforcing the law they are exempt from it. Not to say it does not apply, but if you look at how the law is written it is written in such a way not to impead their job.

  14. have you ever tried to complete a report on your laptop driving down the road?

and I keep my park lights on.

police have never had to hide to catch some moron who disrespects others lives by driving wrecklessly. just like a bus.

another one will be along shortly.

and does everyone unerstand.....there is NO such thing as ticket quotas.

I forgot to mention, k-band radar works best when targeting oncoming objects.

  15. Because they are law enforcement!

  16. because they think it's funny to surprise people and give them a ticket..

to fill their quota for the month.
