I was arrested for misdemeanor theft at 18 in California. I do not want this to appear on my record. Should I plead no contest when I go to court? Or should I get this case sealed? Or is it possible to get this expunged from my record since this is my first time offense?

  1. There may be some diversion programs available, but that is at the discretion of the court. You need to ask the court clerk before your hearing.
