Question:

I do not want the "My Yahoo Beta" and I do not see where I can dump it. Any ideas (NOTE: NOT Mail Beta)

I do not like the "My Yahoo Beta." I did not sign up for it - it was just switched for me. How do I get back my old version? I do not see any links, nor any buttons, nor any reference to Beta or the older version. Without opening a new account, how can I get my comfortable older version back? NOTE: I am NOT talking about the "Yahoo Mail Beta" so please don't tell me about how to get back from that (which I do not have anyway.)

Thanks.

  1. http://cm.my.yahoo.com/switch

click that above link (or enter it into your address bar if it's not appearing as a link to click on). A new page comes up asking if your sure you want to switch back, click the confirmation, and VOILA! You're good old my.yahoo page should come up.

This worked for me. I had to 'fix' my wife's computer back to the classic my.yahoo page. Yahoo seems to be keeping your beta/no beta choice at their server now, so the 'switch back' link is no longer on their page.

  2. You cannot change back. They moved you there, without telling & consent.

I'll move to iGoogle, for that matter. :-(

  3. With the original, large search box setting, there is a "switch to My original Yahoo" option in the upper right-hand corner of my page. With the small searchbox option the "switch to My original Yahoo" option is at the the bottom on the left of my page.

    Good luck!

  4. There sad answer is there is no way. I contact Customer service through email. Was told that this is it. There is no choice anymore. They have moved everyone over and have retired the older and better version. I too, dislike the "new" version, alot. I have since changed my start/home page to another service. I really do not like the new version. I have voted with my eyeballs and taken them elsewhere. It is to bad, because I really liked the old My Yahoo, it felt like home, but I guess Yahoo does not care? Sorry, this is the best info I have.

  5. Apparently, as of recently, you can't go back to the old version. I agree with you, and think the new version stinks.

  6. I am unhappy as well as the new Beta does not support the browser I am using on my N800.  I guess Yahoo only cares about desktop users.  Back to igoogle for me as well.
