This June I will lodge my Australia 457 working visa application to Australian Embassy here in the Philippines. I passed the IELTS exam, I authenticate my all documents, I have job contract mailed from my employer, I have job nomination from Australia, all the requirements are complete to attach. I am worry because I don’t have Immigrant Assistant to write down on the visa application. Because I think it’s a point to have immigrant assistant to approve my visa fast. I am directly hired by the employer from Australia. Do I have a big chance to approve fast my working visa 457 application? What is your advice? It’s okay if I lodge now my visa application even without immigrant assistant that put on the application? I don’t have enough money to get the service of immigrant assistant because it very expensive. After I get there in the Australia they will reimburse my expenses. Please advice me. Thanks

  1. An "immigration assistant" or agent will have not have any influence whatsoever on having your application approved any faster. You and your prospective employer have done everything necessary to be granted your visa and it will come through in due course. 457 visas are usually approved quite quickly, but there are a lot of applications and it takes time to process them.

Do NOT waste your money on an agent (assistant). If anything, they slow the process down because there is a middle-man. In any case, I repeat - there is NOTHING they could do to speed your application. Save your money for your new life in Australia.

    Good luck!
