I don't agree with immunizations, I have researched the subject extensively but would like some opinions...?

I have 2 children that experienced severe immunization reactions. My one-yr-old has never been immunized, and I planned to keep it that way, but I applied for child care assistance and the government is telling me I cannot receive the assistance unless she is immunized.

I would like to know, what is your opinion on the least harmful vaccine to begin her with. I was thinking the hep B. I am not going to get the dtp, mmr, hep b, hib, etc all at the same time, I will agree to do this but will get her one shot at a time. Also, if you know of any sites I may have missed with great information, please list them for me.

I am anti-immunization, and I request that you not down me for not immunizing. I only want you to answer the question I asked please.

Please tell us what the name of the child care assistance program is.  Is it a federal or state program?  If it is a state program, please also tell us what state you are in.  I'm pretty sure I can get you the exemption information so that you do not need to vaccinate your kids for this!

For example, it is commonly believed that WIC requires vaccines.  Many WIC employees have spread that lie.  But...

What the government employee is telling you may very well not be the truth.

A note to the previous poster:  You seem to know surprisingly little about the vaccines, the lack of which has been restricting your life so drastically.  The measles, mumps, rubella vaccine is live.  The chickenpox, Hepatitis A, and rotavirus vaccines are also live.  Please get some counselling to deal with your fear of disease, and start travelling!  Do not waste one more day in fear.

I seriously think, in spite of recent information to the contrary, that the mmr causes autism in children who have a predisposition for the condition. I understand why those agencies are requiring all children to have them.  Not being judgmental, I am wondering why put a child thru extra times having the shots when some can be given together?  I would  prefer decreasing the # of traumatic episodes.

Notice that the lowest rates of diseases with vaccinations are in CHRISTIAN nations. God alone can protect us from the ravages of disease and the nations that rely upon lies and the works of man are the ones suffering. God alone will save and protect us. Vaccines and antibiotics are a lie and a fraud. They are arrogance and presumption. God is striking down the children of fools who have turned their backs upon God and vaccinated their children. Autism is judgment from God for denying him.

Remember, the government claims that vaccines are 95% effective. If you use some logic you'll see that means up to 5% of people who are vaccinated contract the disease.

I was never immunized! Will be 50 in a few months, so born in 1958.

My siblings were immunized. I thought you might like to know how I am getting along? Not very well, mainly because I cannot travel. I want to see the Pyramids, I was invited several times to India and had a invite to USA as I am into NASA. However, as I have no protection and as bugs are pretty fast at traveling the Global Village, not only do I not get to do what I would like to do before I die, visit all these places, but my Social Life is zero. Just like the Man who got on the aircraft with TB, I cannot risk going to any place where their is a large crowd: Mass, College, The Mall and so on, because should anyone be 'carrying' a bug, chances are I will die should I contract it. Likewise when my nephews, nieces were small, I had to keep my distance and even with my young cousins, no play time. I succumbed to Psoriasis at 16 years of age and then Arthritis at 21, what the call autoimmune phenomena, so I might succumb to MS yet. This is my reality and I hope that when your child grows up and realizes that they will probably be in the same situation, hope it is not a female, as she might contract measles while pregnant if she has not been immunized, then you will explin why the lack of immunization has stopped them perhaps working for NASA, or working abroad? As to why I was never immunized? In 1958 the vaccine was 'live' insofar as they gave you a small amount of the measles. As I was born with a poor immune system, my Parents were advised not to have me immunized. Now we no longer use live vaccines, except I think yellow fever. I am not downing you for it, it is your decision, but as a Adult who was not immunized, I have a Life long experience of it stopping me doing what I really want to do before I die.

You are a VERY smart mom.

I would suggest that you go with your FIRST gut feeling OR expect to at least experience the same severe reactions in your one year old.  If you have a gut instinct - go with it. A mothers gut instinct is seldom wrong. That is why you were given it.

If there is any way that you can network a child care group of other non-vaxed children (you are not the only parent in this boat) perhaps you can bypass the need for assistance.  Where there is a will there is always a way.

You are a very wise parent and need to stick to your plan.  There will be lesser care for your child and you will be in a worse position should he/she become injured from vaccines.

A consideration -- Depending on your state, have you gotten an exemption form? Takes 2 minutes  to fill out.
