I don't believe in ghosts but my drums played on their own!?

Question

A few nights ago i was lying in bed and i heard the drums upstairs playing. In paticular it was the three toms. I listened for about 5 minutes and then went in to get my mum. She came into my room because the drums are directly above my room. She could hear them too We listened for a couple of moments and then woke my two brothers and dad up. My bros could both hear them but my dad couldn't because he's got bad hearing. My dad and my eldest brother went upstairs to see if there was anyone there. There wasn't but the drums had stopped playing. I have never beleived in ghosts or the paranormal or telekenisis or anything. I'm a man who only believes in science. I have been thinking so hard trying to come up with an explanation but i can't think of anything! There was no-one in the house apart from my family who were all downstairs and the dog was in the kitchen. The window was tightly closed.

Have any none believers got anyone ideas. Believers welcome as well.

Sounds like a ghost to me. I believe in them, I didn't used to though and I still look for rational explanations before jumping to conclusions...But, as you say, I really cannot think of anything that could explain it...Unless it was someone next door or something.

My friend had this happen to her except it was an electric piano and the electricity was off.

I think your best shot is to wait and see if you hear them again, if you do, try to go up while they are still playing. That way you will be able to find out exactly what's going on.

EDIT: It's a good chance it was your uncle if you have never encountered a ghost at your house before.

I believe in ghosts, but I have logic. You're made of energy, where does it all go when you die? Bam, done, I don't want to rant.

I think it's a ghost, we had a ghost problem with Christmas Lights this past Christmas, they went off and  no matter what we did they wouldn't fix, then they went on by themselves, and when we took pictures of the tree... there was a whisp floating around it.

Yes, I believe it was probably your Uncle. I have had several similar experiences and know of others who have too.

Ive had objects appear and disappear around the house, etc. Family have seen a ghost before in the house.

Doesnt worry me, its a nice house with a happy feeling.

Before jumping to the Conclusion that you have a "ghost", try this:

Take a Digital or Tape Recorder into the room, and do the following:

1.  Ask "Is anyone here that would like to speak with me?"

2.  Ask "Are you someone we know?"

3.  Ask "Are you here for a Reason?"

Then, leave the Recorder there for as long as it will Record.  When you retrieve it, go back to the "start", and listen carefully for any Responses to your question(s).  If you get a Direct Response to any of your Question(s)...you may something going there.

Another thing you can try (if you have the equipment) is to set up a Digital Video Recorder aimed directly at the Drum set.  When you retrieve it, look for any Movement around or on the drums.  

By doing these steps, you can accomplish 1 of 2 things:

a.  Make Certain that you do not have any Activity, or

b.  You have Activity that needs to examined more closely.

IF YOU OBSERVED DRUMS PLAYING AND YOU CAN GET OTHERS TO AGREE THEY HEARD IT ALSO THEN THAT'S A SCIENTIFIC FACT AS FAR AS ALL OF YOU ARE CONCERNED.  AS AN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION ALL OF YOU ARE EITHER IMAGINING OR ELSE YOUR HOUSE IS REALLY HAUNTED. the way to findout if there is a ghost up there, take a picture and if you see like white dots in the picture......even if they are kind of see through...every dot represents a spirit..
