i have a personal boxing trainer and hopefully with in a year or so i will be an amature fighter. I am very good and talanted, but i'm having some trouble when i am doing fast punch combos on my trainers mitts or hitting the bag with lots of energy and speed i start to feel sick, i feel like i need to barf and i've come really close to barfing. and it is really embarrasing to tell my trainer i need to take a break because i am trying to impress him. i'm tring to show him how good i am. and i love boxing and it pisses me off that i need to stop because i feel like i have to barf. I'm in shape, i'm skinny, i'm athletic i have a 6:30 mile time. my training session is at 10:00 a.m. and i usually eat a bowl of cherrios 45 min. before the session. the tips i have gotten from other people is:

work on my core muscles- (fast twitch muscles)

eat 2 hours before the training session

mix gaterade with my water so that i can get electrolights

what do you think?

  1. i think you should drink more water, like when you wake up in the morning and stuff

  2. Cut the milk out of your cheerios, bro.  Just eat 'em dry.  Isn't there something in milk, something with the word "lactic" that can affect your muscles?  I dunno, but I'd think that milk is a bad idea before exercising.  It's heavy.  Or just cut your portions down to a tea-cup full, one hour before, with as little amount as milk as you can get away with.

  3. I think that your doing excersises to intensly that you shouldn't be doing that harsh. Try going a little bit lighter.

I mixed gaterade with water once, then I threw up while playing soccer. (never did it again)

    Hope it helps!

  4. Your rountine sounds pretty hardcore(which is good). My only advice would be to drink a lot more water at least 30 mins before your training. When u get a minute break from your drills, sip on water and don't swallow too much or else u will feel sick.

  5. the point of having a trainer is so they TRAIN you.

if you tell him that you are feeling this sick, he will help you with this.

i've had a trainer for about 6 months now and she has helped me improve by knowing my weaknesses and working on them.
