Question:

I don't get all the girls on here...?

A lot of these questions in the beauty section are about, "Am I fat? Am I a normal weight? Do I look chubby?" and all of the girls are 110 pound and under. I'm 14, 5'3, and 129 pounds, and I'm not afraid to tell people. My personal trainer said I was tiny the first day we met, and them we started dating. (he's 16, i know, not really parent approved), but not the point. My point is, I know I'm a normal weight, but why do all these skinny girls lack self esteem?

  1. ah it's because of what people say!

    i should know..

    i'm like that..

    but i really am fat

    5'4- height

    age-13

    weight-115

  2. i think alot of the girls are searching for compliments when they no when they are skinny u and me are practically the same im 5'2 and 119

  3. im like you.  im 15 and 5'0 (so a few inches shorter than u) and im 113 and proud! =)  its not that they lack self esteem...trust me.  would they really be posting pics on there or telling their weight and height to the public if they actually thought they were fat?  no.  thats b/c they search for the compliments, and every1 gives it too them.  "oh im 5'6 and 110 pounds...im so fat right?"  and every1 is like "oh no ur not fat!  ur skinny!  ur amazingly skinny!" blah blah blah.  tats not wat i say.  i know they are searching for the compliments so i usually say "only what you think matters.  if you think ur fat, ur fat. otherwise its no1 elses buisness".  tats wat i say to all of them.  i never get best answer (only the ppl who are like "omg u r so not fat!" get it) but at least im honest.  =)  dont let those questions frustrate you.  just do what i do and frustrate them.  they know if they are overweight or not. so im totally with you there!

  4. Aesthetics can be just in the eye of the beholder.  A more objective way of looking at your proportions to check your body mass index.  The health researchers use this.  They find that BMIs over 25 is "overweight" and can bring bad health effects.  The BMI is your weight in kg divided by the square of your height in metres.  It can be converted for the US's rather antiquated units.  5'3" and 129 pounds gives a BMI of 22.8.  Healthy!

  5. I'm a guy and I love girls that are filled. Skinny ones look sickly and since you are not obese then you are A-OK. Its a good thing too that you are proud of what you are and what you have. As for those trying hard-to-be skinny girls, let them have their fantasies, they're just over-exposed to TV commercials who want to sell slimming gadgets, pills, etc. and skimpy "fashion" clothes that look like flour bags......

  6. im not sure i am just like you except one inch taller and its kinda insulting when girls that are 100 pounds call themseleves fat

  7. im like amazingly confedent that it sumtimes makes me look rly cocky.... but i handle it. i c these posts too im almost 12 5'4  and 94 pounds. im a healthy weight and looks fine im proportionte and im not super skinny. i do get mad or just laugh wehn i c those questions

  8. true dat lol....yah im the same except 13 turning 14 and i understand and yah im chubby and i cant hide it good point

  9. most of them do it because they are fishing for complients

  10. Society puts so much pressure on teenage girls to look and be "perfect", and they want to meet those expectations, even though perfection doesn't exist. So girls go to extremes because they think they are different then everyone else and they want to fit in with society. It is very sad, but very true. It is great that you don't give in to society's pressure, but many girls don't know how to deal with it.

    Hope I helped!*:)

  11. its because of the media, and the way they want to see every-one. They just look up to there role models eg: paris hilton

  12. theyre just dumb and attention-seeking media-brainwashed whores.
