I don't get it i need help with a guy friend problem!!!

Question

my best friend talks to me all the time about his girlfriend problems and i always help him. The one thing is that i like him and at school people always think we are dating and he never says anything to dicourage people from tallking. Then we went on a field trip and this pervo guy was like trying to get me to date him and so he told me that he told the pervo that we were dating and then it got around school and he didnt care he went along with it.

what do you think that means???

He's your friend and wanted to help you out of a difficult situation.

That means that you have a good friend that is very secure with himself.  He sounds so together that if I were you, I would just walk up to him and ask him straight up.  It will not hurt your friendship.
