Why is it everytime my teacher teaches my class he says

"This lesson is a gift to me"...

What exactly does he mean by that?

  1. Maybe he is saying that he is a learner.

  2. Why don't you ask him?  We can only guess.

Does he say the lesson is a gift to you, or to himself?  I was a little unclear about it.  If to you, then I guess he's saying he's giving you something important (and you don't have to pay, it's a gift).  If to himself, then I would assume it means he likes it or it's easy or something like that...I'm not sure.  Go ahead and ask him before or after class sometime.

  3. Every time!  Seems a bit weird.

    Ask him straight.

  4. It sounds to me like he is passing along things he found useful himself.  Someone taught him these things, and he appreciated them, so he is now passing along these "gems" to you.

  5. He probably just means that the lessons you learn in life are a gift, meaning they will do good for you now and in the future.

  6. He means that he is gifted with having the knowledge that he is about to impart upon his lucky students, including yourself.
