  1. The employer can decide on how to calculate your daily rate

The most common way is dividing your annual salary by working days in the year ie based on 5 days (Annual salary / 260 = Daily rate)

  2. You will not have time to go sick if you go to work regularly

  3. For income tax purposes it has no consequences.  It is money that you never received.

  4. They dock your pay? or you just dont get paid? The same as any other monies.

  5. SSP you are entitled to that everyone who has enough contributions is. Check with the DHSS as to your statory rights regarding sick pay...

  6. Do check whether you are due SSP. If you don't know how the deduction is made simply ask for the calculation, it will depend on whether you are monthly or weekly paid.
