Personally I've always thought of s*x as part of growing up, and part of all relationships and just a thing of life.

However since I joined this website I've noticed people seem to be saying wait until marriage. Why?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you should just seep with anyone at anytime, but I think if you're in a loving relationship s*x is a part of that.

Why do people seem to think s*x should be saved for marriage? I don't want to get married until I'm at least 32, and I don't want to stay a virgin until then. I'd like to lose it when I'm around 18, 19.

  1. I agree with Greenman.  There are many people who regret having s*x before marriage and there are just as many that regret waiting once they realize how sexually incompatible they are with their spouse.  Do what is best for you.  If that is to have s*x, then be safe and responsible and always respect your own body.

  2. i just got married im 19!! honestly wait i made the mistake of not waitign i regret it soooooooooooo much now ....i have a wonderful husband he is great but i should never have stepped into that lustful relationship i had before him it was a waste of time

  3. It all depends on their beliefs and how they were raised.  Many people on this site are religious, and religions preach that s*x is only for married couples.  A lot of people feel otherwise though.  However, another reason people may be telling you this is because they don't want you to get into anything that you can't handle at a young age- pregnancy, STIs, AIDS.  There are a lot of things that can happen.  Of course, the final decision is up to you.  Just try to be safe.

  4. i think 18 or 19 is fine to have s*x as long as you can take care of yourself.

  5. And I don't get why teenagers have s*x, get pregnant and expect everyone else to pay for said child.

I don't believe you should necessarily wait until marriage to have s*x, but you should wait until you have the means to care for the child that might happen (even on birth control and being careful) and most teens don't.

  6. Its a religious concept. Started by selfish men who don't want the wives to know they has small penises! lol

But really people started doing that because back when women couldn't really get jobs and suport a family on there own, It pretty much ment game over for them if they got pregnant.

  7. Because if you have s*x with someone you "love" when you 12 and u get prego and dumped who's supporting the baby: mommy & daddy not you! God says you should wait to have s*x until marriage. And if you are a Christian you would normally wait for marriage and if you get married at 12 then so be it!

  8. i totally agree.

i think 15 or 16 is an alright age to lose your virginity.

  9. It's mostly for religious reasons that people wait until marriage.

  10. well, life happens, and sleeping with someone is a very intimate and personal thing, something that most people want to wait for just that 'right' person for. having s*x with someone should mean a whole h**l of a lot more than just just part of growing up. it is in a way, but growing up and being in a committed loving relationship is what its about, not sleeping with a guy because you are in a relationship and you think its what is expected of you. people, and you should have more self respect for yourself emotionally.

  11. You have all right to do things as you want. Sometimes religion comes on the way but you can even have s*x because its natural. Let me ask you a one question: Does a girl/boy no longer virgin till they have physical relation between each other ? I don't think so, all of us have hand s*x my own self. It also makes us un-virgin. So , what should we do. What I want to say is that till both partner is agree then its valid. s*x is physical desire and we have to fulfill it like we satisfy our stomach.

  12. Its more b/c of religious reasons! It's stated in the bible. If you don't believe in that, it wouldn't apply to you!

  13. Because you dont want to have your first time s*x with just some old boyfriend that you probably wont stay with. You want to have s*x for the first time with that one special person that you know you will spend the rest of your life with.

You dont want to waste all your petals with ex boyfriends, because when you find that one person you want to be with, you wont have any petals left for them :)

  14. Be smart and make responsible decisions regarding s*x.

s*x is a wonderful part of growing up and of being a human being. It is up to you to decide what and how your s*x life should be.

Be smart and enjoy it. For some that means waiting until marriage, for others it doesn't; either way the decision is yours!

s*x is wonderful activity to enjoy when done responsibly no matter when you decide the time is right for you. If people are preaching their own agenda, you do not have to follow them.

  15. I don't get it either. There are a lot of people on this site who promote it, mostly because of religion. It would be nice in a perfect world where everybody could find the right partner young and stick to them, but that doesn't happen. Sadly people may cheat or leave down the track because they don't feel like they've had s*x with enough people, or because the couple was never sexually compatible in the first place. It's a choice people should make, but it is annoying when people promote it too much on here!

  16. WELL,

when youre married, you'll most likely be over 18

then, when youre pregnant (because for some reason youre extremely fertile) you wont be completely ****** and you may have a chance to live a little bit longer.

  17. When you give yourself away you are not just loosing your virginity to some guy you are giving a part of you away. See, before you have s*x you are whole, when you give yourself away you become one with your lover. You give a part of you away, then both of you become one flesh. Let's see it like this, each time you give yourself to a guy you give of a part of you which causes a hole inside of you. Then you give yourself to another guy adding another hole, the cycle continues so you could feel loved. Soon enough you have a lot of holes inside then when the day comes that God reveals your one true love to you and you decide to get married what are you going to offer him? Yourself and a bunch of holes? or would you rather offer him the WHOLE you? If there is a lot of guys walking around with pieces of you, then how special can you really be? You're not giving anything special to your future husband, everyone already had what you are offering him. God wants us to wait, he doesn't want us to give a piece to every boy we meet just so we can feel loved. There is soo many other options than that, true love come from God. You can't love anyone else before you love him and yourselves.

  18. because some people love knowing how special it is tht they are sharing tht connection tht know one else will ever get to have with thm for life. i think its sweet

  19. Married at 32?

Do you know what the chances of downs sydrome child are at 40? 1 in 40 I believe. It only gets worse. If I was you I'd get married and have children at the optimal age of 18-28 while chances of "success" are high.

  20. i dont understand it either. i think its stupid. have s*x whenever you want to. and your ready.

  21. Ok. Im waiting till im married. Im a christian and that is just what is right. In the bible it says that s*x is meant to be had in the safty and security of marriage.

Also i think its for the best. If you just had s*x with everyone you feel in love with, who to say you won't get pregnant before you get married.

And i also think that it is such a gift, to give your husband your body. And its only for him.

    good luck and god bless

  22. there is not a right or wrong answer for this. But what you need to consider is are you the type thats going to get to your wedding night and regret something you did years back. its down to personal choice. Some do say its the best gift you can give, but seriously I think people read too much into it. whatever you do, do it safe.

  23. I don't get it either.

I don't get the point in waiting until you're 18 either.

  24. You dont have to listen to that if you dont want to. s*x is a part of growing, but it doesn't make you grown. When you want to have s*x and believe that this person isn't only in it for the s*x (be atleast 17+ so you aren't just love struck and have a better idea of whats going on.) Then be my guest, have it.

It's just those people's personal views just like you have your own.

  25. I think people either say it for religious reasons or because the chance for unplanned pregnancy is quite high and it would be better if you were pregnant and married than in a non-committed relationship. I don't believe in no s*x before marriage, I had s*x when I knew for sure I was in love, that took 2 years and ten boyfriends to find one that I knew was worthy. I have only slept with 2 men, and I have had two unplanned pregnancies (one with each) the first ended in miscarriage and came about because of a lack of information from my doctor regarding my contraception. My second unplanned pregnancy resulted in my 2 and a half year old and luckily I was in an awesome relationship and we have survived and are expecting our second baby in december : ) Oh and we still aren't married, but we have been engaged for ages and it is something we will do when we have time.

  26. ok

so your supposed to wait until marriage so its extra special, you wont stds if your guy's wating till marrriage too, etc.

but to me thats not something you can promise. my bro is in 12th grade and he said theres no way you could stay a virgin in high school cuz of all the parties, dances, and hot people. lol.

but its really up to you. im not promising to stay a virgin til marriage
