I don't have a lot of friends in highschool and I'm not very good at making friends, any tips?

I have a few friends, and I know the saying its better to have a few good friends than a lot of bad ones but I say why not have both. I just need to know how to approach people in class, I'm very shy and need some tips, please help!

join some clubs plus it'll help on college applications. hold your head up high and say hi to everybody. talk to the people next to you in classes. just ask about homework or pretend you don't understand something. speak up in class more. know the answer, raise your hand!!!

First of all try to be free minded as it happens with many mans/ boys that they feel shy in approaching girls so make urself comfortable when u see the one to whom u want to make friendship just go and tell him/ her directly and whatever the result will come will be out on the spot.
