  1. you don't need a passport to travel between the U.K. and Ireland , but you will need a driver's liscence or national I.D.

  4. depends if you are flying or getting the ferry. if you are flying you are fecked, but if you are getting the ferry over you should be ok

  8. If you are flying from the UK you will need some sort of photo id that they accept. By ferry you will be fine.

  11. Depends on where you are coming from and how you are getting here. If you are flying you will need either a passport or driving licence as ID to check in to get on the plane. If you are going by ferry you really should have some ID but in my experience they do not actually look for it however I woldn't like to chance travelling without it. Check with airline or ferry company and see what they say.

  12. if your going to the north you dont need a passport, you might need id for security reasons but you can get a citizen card by return of post for£18 or £20, forms from post office, am sure the same applies to the south

  14. If your going to Northern Ireland from England, Scotland or Wales then you wont need a passport. Just incase you do need photo I.D do you have anything at all with your name and picture on it? Phone up the airline and see what is acceptable.

  18. you can get an emergency passport that only takes a couple of days to get, you should check it out. i dont know much else about it though

    you will DEFINITLEY need a passport, there will be NO "slipping by" without one!!!

    You wont get into Ireland without a passport, they are strict as h**l here.

  21. You'd better phone the airline and see what you can do. It's my understanding that a passport is now required.

  22. I think you do need a passport.  When I went through the Garda all the people had to show there passports including the people from Ireland and from the all the surrounding areas unless you are going via ferry.  Then I dont think you need a passport.

    You should ring up the airline that your going with and fill them in on your delamina.
