I don't have any best friends?

Question

i go to a privet school so there are about 35 to 40 kids in my grade... i have a couple of friends that talk with me b/c they feel bad for me... i don't think it is me b/c when ever i go to a camp or anywhere else alot of people WANT to be my friend..... oh.. and my parents won't let me change schools unless i have a really really good reason

is there a reason? as long as you're nice, especially in a private school, you should have a big problem making friends.

but no mattter what, keep your head up high. LOVE YOURSELF, BE YOURSELF, and NEVER change who you are for ANYONE!

just remember, you're never alone. the lord is with you, and you dont need a million friends, one true friend means much more than tons of losers who dont even really like you.

you just need to put yourself out there and be yourself. don't be afraid to branch out. it could be, though, that you're too different from the other kids at your school and if that's the case, you should have a serious conversation with your parents about how unhappy you are.

You sound unconfident in yourself. What I know for certain in life, with friends, with relationships, is that confidence is the key to attracting other people. People don't want to be around someone who's always down and negative, because it makes other people feel bad when they're around that person. I would say try to like yourself more. Saying things like "i have a couple of friends that talk with me b/c they feel bad for me" is not going to help. No matter who you are, what you look like, or anything else, confidence always plays a big role in being excepted by others.

Just be friendly. Ask people to hang out, if you want to get to know them better. Play tennis, or watch a movie, something that interests you.

And you don't need a best friend, because that creates a sor tof drama on its own. Sometimes its better to have close friends. :)

be nice to everyone. sooner or later people will be more attracted to you....not in a i wanna date you way..but want to be your friend. it might take a while but people might see that your nice and cool and will tell their friends and then you have a bunch of good friends....which is better than 1 best friend. ALSO doing after school stuff really helps witht the friends thing. Im not lying about this i have 2 incrediable good friends because of a sport.
