  1. You can report it to the police, but that's about all. I'd at least get the minimum required. Usually that's not a lot, and only covers the other party if you get in an accident. As far as getting the damage taken care of from the break-in last night, it's out of your pocket.

  2. CRY!!!!!!!1

Seriously, I have to say it's sad that you are so concerned about your car being broken into but yet if you had an accident and damaged someone else's vehicle and/or seriously hurt them, where would they be????  I bet you have a kickin stereo system too!!!!  Some would call this KARMA!!!!!!

If you can't afford insurance you shouldn't be driving.  Maybe Karma came knockin and bit you on the butt!!!!!

I know this is rough but all you uninsured driver's aren't too concerned unless something happens to you!!!

If you call the police they will likely give you a ticket for no insurance

  3. What do you do ?  You suffer the loss.

  4. fishing6 is right...

  5. Realistically, unless you have some camera surveillance footage or good witness testimony this this guy probably won't get caught and even if it does he's probably some punk so the amount of time and energy in court to recoup you're losses is immense. You're required to have liability insurance no matter what state you live, file the police report if you want.

  6. You are probably required to carry liability coverage, which covers you when you are driving and get in a wreck with someone. It doesn't cover your car getting broke into, so, my guess is you can file a report with the cops, simply to note the record in your area that thefts are occurring, but you likely won't get your stuff back.

  7. Well, I am going to get as many negatives marks against me than I can get for this one BUT...

What goes around comes around in my opinion...

If you had caused an accident, or caused damage to another vehicle, or worse still, God forbid, killed someone, you would be prosecuted for having no insurance and the injured party would be the loser.

However, you have instead discovered the hard way why you should have insurance, because it is as much a benefit to you as to other road users.

Take this as a lesson and get some insurance in future. By all means report it to the Police, but you could find yourself in trouble for having no insurance.
