  1. Having your first period seems like a really strange concept to young girls (I know because I was one), but I assure you it's not going to be a horribly embarrassing or traumatic moment in your life. You're probably not even going to know you're going to have your first period until you actually do. What I mean by that is you'll probably be having a normal day, go to the bathroom, and see what they call "spotting" in your panties. Spotting is just what it sounds like -- little spots of blood. When you see that, you know you've had your period. It's really not as exciting or embarrassing as all the teen magazines make it sound!

  2. Generally you feel bloated and have stomach cramps.

  3. look for blood, from you know where.

  4. I was taking a bath, and I wiped down there I seen blood. I screamed " mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... she ran to the bathroom, I said something is wrong, look! Then I showed her the towel, she stared and said " you have become a young lady". Then we talked about it, and she explained how it would be. She also gave me some nice tips.

Its unexpected. I was only 13. It comes when its comes, its nature. You cant predict when it will come, its a form of maturing, and your body changing. Trust me you will know. I didnt know what it was, but I knew something was wrong.

You will have cramps, and your tummy will feel bloated. You will feel light pains in your lower abdomen.

  5. It is very unexpected actually! But once my mom told me about periods I checked every day to see if there was any trace of it and one day it just came! lol For some girls it hurts really bad in the stomach area almost like u have alot of gas or u ate something bad!

  6. trust me you will know!!!  LOL!!!   You will bleed!!!!   you might experience cramping, bloating, boob tenderness, crankyness ect....   you could experience all of the above or none of the above.  Some women experience some of these symptoms days before it starts  some not until it actually starts  and some not at all.  Every women is different.   Some girls start their period as early as 10   or as late as 18  well that is the latest I've heard of anyway.  But don't fret,  The later you get your period the later you will go through menopause (the stop of your period) which older women tend to dred for some reason beyond my belief.  Any way no matter what you will know when it comes  Because it always involves blood.  But maybe it is time to put a pad or tampon, which ever you feel more comfortable with for your first time, in your purse so you are prepared.  Good Luck
