I got the idea of being a vegetarian in mid March this year.... but I didn't actually start until around May er something... but I remember having a hamburger because I had no dinner around early june when I got outta school.

I don't know how long I've been a vegetarian for and I'm kinda upset:( I've told people that I've been a vegetarian for about 2 months for the past like 3 months because I keep losing track!!!

I don't want to start counting the days over again... what should I do? I know this is kinda a dumb question... But I'm tired of guessing when people ask me how long I've been a vegetarian for.

  1. contradicting aren't u.... Brat!!

  2. the hamburger doesnt count.. in my mind at least. vegetarians dont always quit cold turkey...thats kinda unhealthy...startingg out you should eat a little meat

  3. i have also lost track how long i have been a vegetarian myself, but I do remember becoming one on March 30th of this year, which I think I had been a vegetarian for about 14-15 weeks now and I have been feeling a lot more energy since my change of diet.

  4. You could probably tell them several life times.

  5. Buddha warned against doing a good deed for the pride of boasting about it to others.  The same holds true for vegetarianism; that you are one is all that should matter.

You don’t have to defend yourself, you don’t have to explain it and you don’t have to show off to anyone.  My answer whenever someone asks a similar question is simply, “A while”.

  6. why do you care how long this "label" has applied to you? really whoooooo caresssss??? sorry but this really is one of the dumbest questions ive saw in a long time, no offense, but dont worry what people think of you for how long youve been a veggie .. it really doesnt matter!

  7. look friend HAMBURGERS are not nonveg can be made from pure veg . it is your guilt that makes u thinks so      for pure veg get in touch with me

  8. Does a Christian become a Christian again after his last sin?

I've been a vegetarian since May, is the correct answer. Cheating and having a hamburger in June doesn't mean you started being a vegetarian in June.

  9. You had a hamburger in early June.

So you've been a Vegetarian for 1 month.

    Your starting over.

So now, it'll be easier for you to keep track.

No more meat now or you'll lose the title again.

  10. Bad memory?  Ooooh.

I'm sure you would remember more, if you ate fish.

  11. There is one thing that is important to consider in your question.

What is more important - how long you have been a vegetarian?

    - or -

the fact that you are now a vegetarian?

The length of time in the overall picture - does it really matter?

Point being - take a deep breath - relax - don't worry about it.

  12. Hmm you had a hamburger? And was this when you said you where a vegetarian? 0_0

I guess I'd try to remeber when you last consumed meat, then think if after that point you had any more. If you haven't eaten any meat products after that point I'd try counting from then.

If you can't remember the date you started, or atleast how long you've been living this way, and you actually ate meat as a vegetarian, how commited are you to this lifestlye? I am just curious.
