  1. Ok once you learn how to do it, its a breeze! Go to a heavily padded area. Get in position like you are going to pass the ball. Then with you plat for still together go into a kind of lunge position. While you are lunging take the leg in front and kind of tuck it under your other one and lay on you side! Make sure that you keep you hand flatt to be ready for a pancake.

But if you dont no how to so something then your coach should really help you with it!

    good luck

  2. be really low so it won't hurt as much

let's say u need to go right- start leaning toward to right and make contact, fall to the ground and extend your right arm out and fall on the side of your right leg. so your right side of you body is all on the ground. the only thing that might hurt should b your hip.

if u want to roll after wards to get up all u have to do is roll onto your back and and kick your left leg over you left shoulder. everything else should follow

  3. two different ways to do it, from two different coaches.

    1. (My preferred way, on the belly) Let's say the ball is coming hard down on your right. Pass the ball, then slide out onto the ground onto your belly. If you keep sliding, it's okay because you put a lot of potential energy behind that sprawl. Since your right leg bended more as the ball was to your right, it goes off to your side, bent, looking kind of as if you're doggy-peeing. :-D Your left leg would then trail your body, straight. If you can manage to shoulder roll off of either shoulder after this sprawl, do it. Otherwise, barrel roll to get out of the way, or just plain get up if you're not going to interfere.

To sprawl to your left, just reverse everything left/right.

    2. (The other way, easier to roll) Again, we'll assume the ball is coming down hard on your right side. Reach out to pass the ball, then guide your body down onto the outside of your right thigh, which should be bent. You will be on your side. Tuck in your left leg and roll over to get out of the way, and pop yourself back up.

Now that you know this, I think you should see your coach seriously, tell her you need help on this one. She's your coach; she should be helping you instead of blowing you off.

  4. to spral you need to dive on your side.  (you slide on your knee pads.  depending on what way you sprawl, your arm should be out, and another 1 at your side close to the ground.  make supe that your hand that is out is open that your palm is facing the floor.  you have to sprawl fast.  if that didn't help, ask the coach again, and if she blows you off again, ask another teammate.

  5. take a big step with your right leg, then go down on your left hand and reach out with your right hand. in game, your right hand will be used to stop you and to help you get back up quickly

  6. it's okay. take a breather.  sprawling is like falling.  which is why most people can do it.  but obviously you havea sense of grace.  anyway when you are diving/sprawling to your right you use your right hand.  and when you are going to your left use your left hand.  reach behind your body [like for a bowl of popcorn:)] and throw your legs over your opposite shoulder.  like if your going to your right, then roll over your left.

    hope i've helped.
