  1. That picture looks like the thread/wire is actually threading through a bead on another strand.

You can do that or you can add a crimp bead where you want them to cross.  If you do that with the crimp bead though, you have to string the two or more strings at the same time instead of one at a time.

  2. They used three strands of beaded wire and then braided them. They used what is called a cone at each end of the bracelet.

You can't do it with two strands.

3 strands are required for braiding.

Before you string anything you should have attached your wire/string to a clasp on one end. So you take three strands, on each strand thread a crimp bead, then a jump ring, then run the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp the wires on each of the three. Then you take your three jump rings and connect all three to an eyepin. Then thread the eyepin through the larger end of the bead cone. When the other end of the eyepin comes through the hole at the top make a simple or a wrapped loop to connect to a clasp.

After you do this then you can thread your wires with beads. When you have each strand beaded, braid them like you would braid hair. Then repeat the first steps to use a cone at the other end of the necklace.

Here is a video on using a beaded cone.

All you can do with two strands is twist them around each other and more than likely they will untwist themselves.

  3. Check out the free project on spiral stitch at this blog

you can follow that pattern except skip more beads and you will get a similiar effect

    good luck
