  1. youtube has tutorials for every kind of makeup... type in eyeliner, blush, foundation, eyebrows etc and there will be videos showing you techniques for applying and what products to use.  As for what shades and brands will work for you- you gotta do what the rest of us do- trial and error.  I cant tell you how many different brands and colors of everything that I have tried over the years- some look good some dont you just gotta experiment- and have fun with it too!

  2. It's a good idea to look at some magazines such as Seventeen, Cosmo girl, Marie Claire, Elle, etc. They have awesome make-up tips (especially Seventeen) that accomodate different skin tones and face shapes. Also, check out their websites.

Oh, and youtube also has a lot of make-up tutorials, so search there, too.

You could also ask your friends for help :).

  3. If you really want a tip then go to a MAC counter. They really know their stuff. No one on here can give you advice I mean its online Its different then from someone showing you. There they can really give you tips and they do your make up for free with an appointment. You dont have to buy anything you just get your make up done and they give a lot of tips. Hope it helps.

  4. you can go to video jug online and watch a tutorial on how to apply make-up. if you are just starting out all you really need is mascara and eyeliner. but they can help you out online.

  5. depends on what u want to use

ill just tell u how i put my make up and wat i use

    --------------------------------------...

    FIRST

    black eyeliner on top lids

this takes some practice but i dont gotta put it on the top lid

u can just put it on bottom

but close one of ur eyes with ur hand u dnt write with hold ur eyelashes and with the othr hand apply the eyeliner

+dnt use pencil eyeliner or liquid use the roll up 1+

    NEXT

    i use shimmering eyeshadows

    bronxe,silver,sparkling black,etc.

    all has sparkle n shimmer

i as my eyeshadow on my eye lids one at a time

closing one eye to put it on then do the same to the othr

dnt put the eyeshadow on the eyeliner

    NEXT

    mascara!

    put 2 coats on

start with one set of eyelashes

kinda brush the brush through and kinda move it side to side while puttin it on so more of the mascar goes on

than go to the othr eyelashes

aftr tht add the second coat

    NEXT

rub lotion on the bottom of ur bottome eyelids

    NEXT

    eyeliner on bottom eyelids

dnt exaggerate pull ur eyelids down but pull a little down and add the eyeliner like right on ur eyelashes down ther

do the same to the othr side

nxt is my bronzers or podwer

brush it lightly all over ur face

  7. Well, ive been wearing makeup for about 4 years.  I've notice that its better to go for a natural look vs. wearing lots of makeup.

    wear:

powder vs. foundation, just apply all over face. make sure powder is ur skin tone- other wise not so nice. this will make ur face look flawless, make sure u get non-comedgenic. so u dont get pimples

black eye-liner, just smudge it to the top of ur lash line, make sure the line is not to thick. the thinner the line the better. its ok if not perfect.

black mascara, just brush it on lashes. it'll make lashes look longer.

blush, apply with a  brush to the apples of cheeks. DO NOT get the sparkly ones, theyll just make ur face look glittery not so nice for everyday use.

and a lip gloss for ur lips. this can have some sparkle.

oh and make sure u have nice plucked eye-brows.

  8. for your first time, I would only use a little mascara, blush, lipgloss, and maybe some coverup.

these products will just highlight your face without it looking like your trying too hard.

  9. Ok well honestly you don't want to wear too much makeup. Start with mascara, it'll make your eyes seem bigger and nicer.

I recommend L'oreal "Voluminous" mascara, you can buy it at any drugstore and it's not too expensive. With a kleenex dab the tip of the brush to get rid of the excess gooey stuff. Then start from the outer eyelashes working your way to the inner. Apply from root to tip. It's pretty simple and you'll get the hang of it.

Then find a nice natural looking blush, I recommend something with peach hues not pink (it's more natural) and apply a little bit of blush on your cheekbones. Then you can finish off the look with a little bit of clear lipgloss and there's a really pretty natural look :)

  10. im not a professional either, my best suggestion would be to go and buy yourself whatever kind of makeup you want and mess around with it.. figure out what looks best on you.. personally im not a big fan of it.. girls start wearing it young and end up getting nasty skin and have to wear it.. try just using mascara.. buy a good one that you like.. i suggest the old school one in the pink tube with the green lid.. thats what i use.. works great. i like the blackest black. and i use a pink blush.  sometimes i go on a limb and put on eyeshadow. my favorite is this diamond lust.. its a golden color and i just wipe my finger and put it on my eyelids.. a little under my brow and a little under my eye. to give that glittery glowing eye effect..
