i want a corn snake but not aloud frozen or alive mice! i dont find the garter snake very appealing. i already own a beardie and i like them but i want another reptile but i cant find any snake types that dont eat pinkies (mice) or rats that still look cool. if i get a beardie ill be putting this one in a 55 gallon tank (this tank is still a good size for it) and putting the new one in the 30+/- gallon tank. someone please tell if there is any snakes that look cool and dont eat mice or if i should just stick with beardies. thank you

  1. i really like the bearded dragons!! as long as you keep them seperate like you said (caged) then it would be neat to have 2! there is still plenty of other options too if you dont want 2. but i dont know of many snakes that dont eat pinkies or mice. how about some geckos? or a chamelion (sp?) they do require really good habitat but are really neat. good luck

  2. get another beardie!!

i have 2.. keep them in the same viv together.. they had a little fight at 1st.. nothing bad just a dominance thing.. now they sorted out their differences they are the best of friends!

  3. Get a Rough Green Snake. They eat crickets. They are fun to hold and they're cool. They're easy to care for, too. They eat one or two crickets every other day. All they need in an enclosure is a hiding spot on the basking side and a hiding spot on the cooler side and some stuff to climb on. Plus of course a water bowl, but that's it.

  4. Im guessing its your first time getting a snake so i wouldnt recommend any of the snakes that dont eat mice most are hard to maintain. For a beginner snake i would tell you to pick corn snakes and ball pythons but both need to eat mice so thats out of the question. If i were you i would stick with a bearded dragon they are good pets and if you already have one your already experienced and know what your doing so its a better idea to get something your familiar with than get something your new to and be limited to hard ones and then end up not being able to handle it.

  5. garter snake
