  1. those drugs just mask the pain, not correct the cause.  It isn't a drug if it doesn't have a side effect and most pain killers are addictive.  So, let's review: doesn't fix the problem and leaves you jonesing for more (not to mention the liver and kidney damage they cause).

  2. Darvocet is not as strong and is a different class of drugs. If it does not work for you as well, you may want to try Tramadol, aka: Ultram. I was on Vicodin a long time for spinal problems, and the tramadol is working well. It is not as strong, but works a different way. Try the Darvocet, you will know if it helps.

  3. They're both powerful painkillers.  For me, they work equally well.

  4. I hope that you are not implying that you are taking darvocet and vicodin TOGETHER!.  If you are, stop it because that's dangerous.  If you are asking, "does darvocet relieve pain as wellas vicodin does?"  Then that's ok.  I think that vicodin is a little stronger then darvocet though.

  5. Side effects for Vicodin include an allergic reaction, seizures, clammy skin, severe weakness, dizziness, hyperventilation, unconsciousness, jaundice (yellowing of eyes or skin), unusual fatigue, bleeding, bruising, stomach pain, constipation, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, muscle twitches, sweating, hot flashes, itching, tinnitus, hearing loss, decreased urination, and decreased s*x drive. Vicodin (in terms of hydrocodone) also has depressant effects on the central nervous system. However, some of the less mundane effects can be desirable effects that are sought after by some. Those effects include euphoria and drowsiness, as well as slowing of the pulse. Vicodin may also be a cause of stomach ulcers, although this is assumed to be due to the addition of other non-narcotic analgesics to hydrocodone preparations (e.g., aspirin, and ibuprofen). Paracetamol does not cause ulcers, unlike other NSAIDS.

Darvocet overdose is commonly broken into two categories: liver toxicity (from paracetamol poisoning) and dextropropoxyphene overdose. Many users experience toxic effects from the paracetamol (acetaminophen) in pursuit of the endlessly-increasing dose required to achieve euphoria. They suffer acute liver toxicity, which causes severe stomach pains, nausea, and vomiting (all of which are increased by light or stimulation of the sense of sight).

Dextropropoxyphene also has several other non-opioid side-effects.

Both propoxyphene and its metabolite norpropoxyphene, have local anesthetic effects at concentrations about 10 times those necessary for opioid effects. In this respect, norpropoxyphene is more potent than propoxyphene, and they are both more potent than lidocaine.

Given the facts provided. these shows that these painkillers prove themselves to be strong, although it will decrease your pain, always follow the proper medication and never to overdose, the chemical contained in this painkillers are mostly morphine, first option is taking the natural way, tea's medication, most people show that tea can detoxify the body greatly. and if these other natural won't work. im afraid you need to to take some of these drugs.
