I don't know my ethnicity, what would you suggest I do?

I was adopted and my ethnicity was never certain. Do you know anything I can do to figure that out. And the thing is that since my family adopted my little sister from china 2 years, all my mom can think and speak about is China. She has never ever gave any interest in me and my twin sister's background. Do i have a right to think that maybe she doesn't care to try and help us figure our cultures out or am i over- reacting. Thanks in advance.

  1. do you know where you are from. does your mom know your bio parents last names. or anything at all. i am not sure if you can find out for yourself unless it wasnt a private adoption you can find out where you where born and get the original birth cert

  2. Sounds like you might be a little bit jealous of your Chinese sister.

Have you ever talked to your Mom about your ethnic background? She

must have been told information like that when she adopted you and your twin.

If your Chinese sister is very young, then you should know that the

youngest children in the family get all the attention for a while.

Have a quiet talk with your Mom about how you feel.

    Good luck, Hon.
