I don't know what's inside my lucky bamboo plant.?

Question

I have a non-clear container and inside it once I lift the bamboo out are these light teal small balls. If you squeeze them enough they open up and this white gooy stuff comes out. The whole container was filled with them so I don't know if it's food or something else.
