  1. 1 inch if u want smaller, bouncer, curls

and 1 1/2 inch if u want bigger curls

  2. there really isnt much of a difference between a 1inch and 1 1/2 inch curling iron. they are both going to be moderatley tight curls. i would go with the 1 1/2 inch because it is an average size curl, works with most hair styles.

for your hair, i wouldnt go with tight ringlet curls. try this if you want something different, dont twist the hair tightly on the barrel, take the end of your hair and loosely wrap it around the barrel. you will get a soft curl at the end of your hair that will be bouncy and full. i think that would look good on you!

  3. Hi there!

    I have used both a 1 inch and a 1  1/2.

Here are the pros and cons:

1" Pros: Most versatile, best used on short hair to any length, can make tight curls or loose curls depending on how tight & long you curl

    Cons: May take slightly longer

1 1/2" Pros: Best used on long hair (think mid-back), excellent for having hollywood style big curls

Cons: Can't be used on short hair (by the time you get ready to twirl and curl you're out of hair!!!)

I had short hair for years and now have very long hair but I find the 1" is an excellent staple tool because you can use it no matter what length of hair you have! If however you are thinking of having long hair for a long time the 1 1/2" is also a good investment!

Maybe even ask around your friends and see if you can try theirs out before you purchase your own!
