Midway Mall in Elyria has a pet store called Animal Zone. This place is DISGUSTING! Every time I visit the kittens are horribly thin and the last two times I've seen things that made me physically ill. Today there was a kitten whose eyes were pink and the white part were covering half its eyes. Another time I saw a kitten whose left eye was mostly closed and a thick yellow goo was oozing out onto its face. I've contacted the APL and two new stations so far. The APL response said they were very aware of the store..but still nothing is being done and the poor things are made to suffer. I don't know what else to do. There have been protests and everything but nothing changes it. Help..

  1. if you have a  humane society that is where to go.

If you've tried that contact a local  or regional television station and see if they might do a story about the store.

A third possibility is to go to the licensing agency of your state or federal government.  Pet stores have rules they must abide by or lose their license to operate.  Even if it doesn't get them closed it should scare them into doing the right thing.

  2. You could always call a health inspector on them.

  3. In he U.S. we have a division of the USDA (United States Department of Agricultural called APHIS (Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service).  They regulate pet stores. All you hav to do is contact them. Any pictures or proof will help.
