My cat used to be playful and healthy. We moved to our new home and he started losing weight, not playing anymore, hiding out, acting week, and not wanting to do anything. He has had a few accidents in the house and that is so not like him. He is my best friend I have had him since he was only 4 weeks old. I am his momma. I love my kiddy and I want to help him, will you help me find some answers?????

  1. Everything you describe sounds like my kitties did when they went into kidney failure.  Except mine vomited, also.  If he has vomited, in addition to all of these other problems, take him to your veterinarian as soon as you can.  Kidney failure is a very serious, life threatening condition and nothing you can be told here or can do at home, will help.

It sounds like it would be a good idea to get a check up for him even if you haven't noticed him vomiting.  Then you will at least know if it is something serious or if he just needs more time to adjust to moving.

  2. how many days/weeks did u move into the house? mayb he needs to adjust to that new house

  3. I Think I know what you should Do. This Happened To my Cat.

    Take Him To Minor-Emergency Vet.

  4. How long has it been since you've moved into your new home?

Cats do not like change.  If it's been very recently that you've moved, these things you've described can be because of the move.  It may take a while for him to get used to his new surroundings.  If you believe he has a medical problem, of course the best thing to do is to bring him to the vet.  But if you don't feel it's a medical issue, then time will be what makes him feel better, once he is used to his new home.
