I'm going into high school this year. And I'm not that skinny. I weigh in the high 150's. My arms is meaty, but mainly because I play softball. I play the positions of 3rd base and pitcher. I have the strongest arm on the team, so my arms look like what they look like because I'm strong. But since I'm not that skinny and I have arm muscle, it caused my arm to get small stretch marks. Very unnoticeable, but I don't like to show my upper arms. My stomach isn't flat, which makes shopping for clothes very difficult. I can't get half the shirts that I want because my stomach sticks out. And I've went to private school all my life and now I'm going to a public high school, which makes my clothing a huge factor now. The bottoms don't matter, it's tops that I need. I wear an XL in shirts, and size 13/14 jeans. I'm not that tall, so try to avoid showing my long shirts, because they will look like dresses on me haha. So, just give me some suggestions on good clothing stores for my type of body. Also, if you can, give me ways that I can camouflage the size of my stomach to make it look kinda normal. These are the stores I like:

Macy's (eh a little but I mainly go there for jeans)

JCPenny (cute clothes ;])

Wet Seal (I just started shopping there and there clothes are ok)

Aeropostale (love it ;])

Stores I hate:

Abercrombie

Hollister

Delias (I have nothing against it, cute clothes, but they don't look like they would fit me)

If you know a store that sells cute clothes, tell me the name of it.

You'll get a better chance of getting best answer if you make me an outfit the website polyvore. If you do make me an outfit on polyvore, make sure the items are in the store, and make sure they aren't skin tight shirts.

  1. Well I was thinking you might like express if I was you I would wear a lot of shirts like this

but you could find shirts like that at any store and you could even wear them loose fit or thight fit you could even roll up your sleeves for a really cute preppy look or just cuff your sleeves or wear sweater vest on top of shirts like that I think that would be cute.

  2. I think that your body type is just fine. Hollister babydoll tops are actually really flattering on larger girls. You should try them. American Eagle also makes very flattering clothing. You should try babydoll tops, with flats and flared jeans, to even out your proportions. Here are some outfits that i think will look great on your bodytype...

p.s. I know you said you hated hollister, but i threw in some peices that i thought would really suit you

  3. I work in retail so I know how to hide your "problem" areas.

I've worked for Gap and Old Navy for several years and both stores are reasonably priced and have good pieces to camoflauge your areas.

To hide your stomach, I would wear an A-line top, something that is tighter in the chest area that flows down. By doing this you enhance the size of your chest and hide any bulging tummy : )

Also, if you're looking for jeans that enhances your curves yet sucks in "problem" areas, try Gap's Curvy Low Rise. They always do the trick!

Good luck in high school and I'm sure whatever you choose will look great on you! : )

  4. try OLDNAVY. they have great clothes for plus size girls.
