I don't know what to wear?!?

Question

I start 6th form on wednesday. i have some clothes i can wear but i need to get more - but i have no idea what to get!

i'm into more emo/goth/rock clothing - i wear lots of black, skinny jeans, combats, t-shirts, converse and black trainers.

what makes the problem worse is that there are so many restrictions on what we can wear!

We cannot wear:

-tops which show cleavage or bare shoulders (no 'spaghetti straps') not allowed showing bra straps.

-no denim material (though i think we are actually allowed to wear any colour denim other than normal blue denim)

-very baggy trousers

-no trainers, but also no shoes such as flip flops or anything with high heels

-no offensive logos or pictorial material (and they are VERY restrictive on this - even if it's not offensive, but could possibly be taken the wrong way, they will not allow it)

-not allowed band t-shirts

-no outdoor coats or hats

-no headgear - no bandanas

-no shorts which show off knees

what the h**l can i wear? any ideas? i have plain black t-shirts, but that's kinda boring.

how about a dress with a long cardigan with plain flat shoes or converse if your aloud to wear them with colourful accessories

or a high waisted skirt with a plain white blouses tucked in with a cardi and flats/converse:-)

Wow, that is a very strict dress code.

Wear a pair of black skinny jeans. Get a tee from Delia's that has a cool saying on it. My favorite is "save battles for the dance floor!"

Also, you can try wearing cords in the winter. A pair of cord skinnies will go with the black hoodie that you wear.

Try wearing skimmers with your pants. They are a cute shoe that are like sneakers but also like flats.

what about your school uniform? sounds like a strict school. at college you can wear anything. just stick to what you think is boring for now. and as time goes on see what your mates are wearing.

You could try a short, flared skirt that sticks out (try to get the most interesting, pretty one you can find) and wear it over some really tight skinnies with little shoes and one of your plain black t-shirts.

It's a cool outfit and should be okay with all the restrictions.

Failing that, try a dress that flares out over skinnies or leggings, and put a hoodie over if it's cold.

They look good - trust me.

Black levis or any black jeans.  Get white shirts and a a denim shirt. Harley davidson has low boots for work and are classy and cute. It sucks and when you get older like me you can wear what you want.  I hired a good receptionist and I like her Rock nRoll Tshirts but we have to dress to not offend.

I suggest you rethink your dress mode and stay away from black masculine dress, start looking like the female you are then you won't have to care about dress codes. Not trying to be mean but maybe a little femininity might really knock some socks off. Guys want a girl not a macho dresser !  Love U and God Bless, Elle T
