Marantz, Denon, Sherwood Newcastle... I don't know.

The reason in which I'm purchasing an A/V Receiver is for optimal Sound and Video, including the latest in THX and Dolby. I've heard of video processors like HQV or Faroudja, but I don't know what any of that means.

I need an A/V Receiver with multiple HDMI Inputs and at least one HDMI Output... It needs to be 1080p Compatible... I'm hopelessly lost...

  1. Actually, your not really lost. You have a very good idea of what your looking for and that alone is the biggest hurdle. Besides the brands that you mentioned, look at Onkyo, Yamaha, upper end Pioneers also. I'm sure there is something out there that will meet your needs. BTW, wherever you go, don't be afraid to ask questions.

  2. The link below is an awesome receiver. It has everything you could want including the ability to receive XM AND Sirius radio. I have the same one, but last years model and I love it. I hated Pioneer until I looked at their ELITE line.

  3. check crutchfield, bestbuy, or circuit city.

  4. Denon AVR2308Ci $850 and 2 HDMI in but no DD-HD or dts-HD, Yamaha RXV1800 with 4HDMI in and Dolby Digital hd and dts-HD. Both have dual zone as well.
