Okay, So I don't really know what the problem is - some of my friends say that I might need my tonsils removed? But i'm not sure! Everytime I eat something I cough for hours because it feels like it's still kind've stuck in the back of my throat? & My mom told me that maybe I'm not chewing it good enough, & to take smaller bites of food, & that might help - so I tried that & it's the same thing! & I also can't breathe good but I've got checked for asthma and I didn't have it, and they ran tests' on my heart & stuff - so I was thinking maybe my throat was clogged up & not letting air come through? I didn't know if that had anything to do with it or not, but I haven't been able to breathe good since like 5th grade (in 11th now) and they still haven't found anything wrong with me, so I was just thinking maybe that could have something to do with it!

I'm not really sure.

My main question is - i'm wondering what could make my throat feel like theres something right there blocking like the whole or whatever & making me cough like every two seconds - not like cough like your sick - but cough like tryin to get it to go down - even though nothings there.

& if you feel REALLY nice you can help me with what you think the not breathing good thing could be!

thanks =)

  1. First of all, know that I don't want to scare you. There is a rare disease called myasthenia gravis, and one of the symptoms is difficulty swallowing. It feels like food is always going down the wrong tube, or up your nose. Look at the link below, and consider getting tested. It's just a simple blood test. It seems like the people who usually get MG are young women and elderly men. Since it is so rare, some doctors won't even consider the possibility that you have it, so you should ask specifically about this, as well as other diseases of the throat.

  2. I had a goiter with has to do with your thyroid. It was the size of a grapefruit! It affected my breathing and swallowing sometimes!! I had it removed a week ago and I am much better.
