I don't know why I was given a 1 year work permit extension after post graduation at Canada?

I came in as an international student but I graduated in a 1 year post graduation study. After that, I received only a 1 year work permit extension from CIC whereas my 2 friends in the same situation received 3 year work permit extension. I don't understand why CIC has done this only to me.

Did you call immigration and ask?  You know Canada is starting a new immigration class of work and study experience towards PR status so maybe that is something you can apply for when it gets activated.  They explain it at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/...
