So I am not planning on voting. The only other major election that I did not vote in was the last one where Bush won. I know it is my civic duty, but usually my vote is a "throw away" vote because I don't usually vote Democrat or Republican because I dislike both parties.

So, do you think it is better to not vote at all because you really don't agree enough with anyone, or is it better to vote just for the sake of voting (which is what I used to do).

  1. Vote third party or vote for the party out of power.  It is the best option you have.

Until more people wise up and start supporting parties not controlled by lobbyists, we are going to have to deal with meaningless votes for a while.

  2. You know, you can vote for anyone you like in the general election. Just write someone in--go with your conscience. Sure, your choice won't be the winner, but it seems like that'll be the case anyhow.

  3. I believe the best aspect of democracy is your vote. Vote and if you dislike both parties (Which I do), vote for an independent even if you don't like him/her. Every vote counts for something & yours will be a statement for both major parties. You can imagine if everybody did the same. It would be revolutionary.

  4. Feel free to not vote if that is your choice.

Be sure to not voice any opinion on any topic going forward from now on as well,

    If you don't vote, don't *****!!

  5. Vote, You do not have to vote for every race but you need to vote if it is only to write in mickey mouse. This tells the politicians something. in Brazil they voted in as prime minister their equivalent of Mickey Mouse. The courts threw out the election and every party ran someone different.

  6. It is better not to vote, because if a high percentage of people abstein from voting then it translates as the candidates not being good enough.

  7. it's America...when was the last time you were actually excited about the potential of a presidential candidate

    there all the same

  8. It is your democratic right and imperative to vote -- vote or don't complain.  Take part or leave.  That's how I think.

You aren't supposed to "like" and feel all warm and cushy towards the candidates, you vote in the best person for the job to be done.  In this case, like her or not, it is Clinton.

  9. Why don't you like anyone running for president?

What are you looking for in a candidate?

Have you reviewed the platforms of all of the candidates?

Which issues are the most important to you?

You should determine these things first, then vote for the candidate who is closest to your idea, whether or not he or she is endorsed by a party.

  10. In your  'Dis-Like" there is a Like too.

We do not Computers Chips in are brains, Humans are programmed to differ and yet take decisions. Democracy is all about participation and more the merrier so you must exercise your Democratic Right and not let people be elected by default.

  11. I don't like any of the candidates either and you know a democrat or a republican is going to be elected I have been choosing the lesser of the two evils when I don't like either candidate because what it comes down to is one of them will be president so pick the one that sucks the least

  12. It really is hard to believe that you can find no preference for one side or the other.

Sure you may not like EVERYTHING about any idividual candidate but surely there is one that at least rankles you less than the others?

Just what would you like to see in a candidate - what do you believe in?

  13. It shouldn't be about whether you like any of the candidates or not. Would you be equally happy/unhappy whichever candidate wins? If so, I'd say don't bother. If you feel any of the candidates are even marginally better or worse than the others than you should vote.

  14. Why run for the president?

He can run on his own.

Notice he 's always walking and flying too.

    He did'nt run.

    So why must one run?

    What do you think?
