  1. O' Angel,..... let it flow,

For I  love to hear the tinkling of cascading waters  flow,  it's music to my ears.

It's a refreshing sound of relief that brings peace.......let it flow.

  2. No, you are like most Japanese women culturally.

In Japan, women flush the toilet as they pee to mask the sound of liquid hitting liquid.  However, it is a waste of water.

  3. i used to be like that too. but as I've gotten older it no longer bothers me. could you carry some bread in your purse and when you have to use the restroom, throw a piece or two of bread onto the surface of the water, it will absorb the sound.

  4. Hahahaha i wont wait till everyone leaves but it does make me uncomfortable...i get where you are coming from

  5. I'm sure there are others.  I don't care personally.  One day during a break between classes, I entered the restroom which was empty, went into the stall, and did my thing.  I was peeing pretty hard and loud.  I suddenly heard someone come in.  At first I was a little embarassed.  Then I figured that hey, it's natural, and there is no way I'm going to have the strength to stop that fast current.  So, I continued to do my thing.

Usually when I'm in a public restroom, I don't have time to wait until it clears.  If I have to pee, I have to pee.  If I have to p**p, I do so, and hope the waste hitting the water won't sound like "ker-plunk."

It's a restroom.  If people can't deal with hearing you use it, they should just use theirs at home.  I'm usually in a rush trying to get back to whatever I am doing, so I don't bother holding until everyone else leaves.

  6. a lot of people are like that

I have heard some places have music in public restrooms, for that very reason

  7. I hated that too.  WHen I was pregnant, I could no longer hold it like that and I got over it.  I also got over having people hear me do number 2 since I couldn't hold that any longer either.

You will get over it eventually too.

  8. once in my school bathroom i was takin a p**s and this dude as he was leaving kept looking at me for a good 15 seconds. i didnt p**s the whole time he was there cuz i couldnt it was odd and once he left, i pissed.

Its odd when people are looking at you, but hearing it is no big deal

  9. This is mostly psychological.

There are other people with the same problem.

Just remember that everyone has the same bodily functions that you do.  When you're in a public restroom, you can hear other people urinating and sometimes defecating.

Don't worry about other people hearing you while you urinate.  Most of them aren't focused on anything but themselves.  If you can go into a handicapped stall that has a sink, you can run the water while peeing.  This will cover up sounds that you feel are embarrassing.

  10. Well, I admire you in asking that question. It is very profound! Well you are an excellent guy! Thank you for asking! Good description and explanation. Very interesting question! Continue doing good and Great things like this! I think you are a Genius! Continue in exploring the world and learn more like you are up to now!

  11. I'm that way about pooping. I will never p**p in a public place. I'm better about peeing though :-D But I understand your pain.

  12. No you're not, imagine having to use a urinal and have them peek at your genitalia while you do it.

  13. I flush the toilet before i go. It helps try it.

  14. i'm totally like u! i hate the thought that people can hear me pee and i like to wait until i'm alone to pee.

however, i realise that its not entirely practical to wait.. in the end u just have to forget about people n "get on with it". no-one really cares anyway!

  15. Im exactaly like that! I hate peeing when other people can hear me. It makes me feel very un comfortable a weird. I will wash my hands or do something else until everyone else is gone.

  16. I was like that at your age but as I got older I became less self conscience. Its totally normal.

  17. It used to bother me too.  I just gradually got over it.

  18. I hope we don't end up in the same bathroom trying to outwait each other.  Doctors believe that somewhere between 20-30 percent of women suffer from shy bladder.  How severe varies.  I can't even hear a noise or I clam up.  I try to say the alphabet when I can go, and then when I can't, by saying it, sometimes it helps.  Or I count tile like couting sheep.

I also hate the sound of pouring liquid, like when the waitress refills a water glass.

  19. I understand where you're coming from, but as many have already said, people just want to get in and out and pee noise is incidental.

I remember being at a houseparty once, where the bathroom was located in such a place as to be withing earshot.

One fellow, knowing this, had filled up a glass of water in there, and when he'd finished,  continued by pouring the water in a thin trickle, making us think he had an enormous bladder!

It just went on and on and on...

We were all staring in his direction with wide amazed eyes as he came out of the bathroom with a great big satisfied grin on his face, and we all got a great big laugh when he told us what he'd done!

Sometimes I remember that when in a public restroom, and just have to smile all over again.  I'm glad he didn't have pee noise phobia!

  20. no, they're other people who doesn't like it when people hear them pee. Look, even i don't like when everyone else hears me pee.

  21. nope, i'm the same way.

  22. idk.  just loosen up.  it doesnt matter, no one cares.  its part of life.   and in public bathrooms its just women anyways.  No one is listening or paying attention.

  23. You need to get over that or you could hurt your bladder. No one is listening to you; people in bathrooms want to get in and out and they do not pay attention to pee noise; besides, no one can tell who is peeing and if it still concerns you then keep flushing the toilet.

  24. You're just pee shy. It sucks, but the more you remain in the restroom even when people are there, the better you'll get at it. Try only going when you have to go or if you're feeling exposed while you are peeing go, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh" very loudly to yourself. Helps to calm.
