I don't think I'm only a Test bowler, says Amit Mishra
The right-arm Indian leg-spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Amit-Mishra-c44030, has insisted that he is a bowler good enough for all the three formats of cricket including One Day and Twenty20 cricket.
The 28-year-old leg spinner from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 tour on Saturday.
He urged the cricket experts not to confine him to the Test cricket only and said that he has proven himself in the limited overs cricket as well.
"I don't know who has said that I'm a Test bowler,” said Mishra while talking to the media reporters after his team’s 10-run win over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians.
“I have been bowling in the IPL for the past four years and have been among the leading wicket-takers. I have been performing at all levels. I don't think I'm only a Test bowler," he added further.
Mishra, who captains http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Haryana-c790 in the domestic circuit of India, has so far played 10 One Day Internationals and has picked only 8 wickets. He was also snubbed for the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2011.
The Delhi born cricketer made his last ODI appearance in June of 2010. He said that he was happy to have made a comeback in the limited overs squad of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
"I always try to give my best at whatever I do. I'm happy that my name is in the team," he said.
Talking about the IPL game against table toppers, Mumbai Indians, Mishra reckoned the last over, by Munaf Patel was the turning point of the game.
The right-arm leg spinner mauled Patel for four boundaries to score a whirlwind 18 of just six balls as the visitors set a respectable 136-run total for Tendulkar and his men.
Later Mishra conceded just 18 runs in his quota of four overs and picked a wicked as well to restrict to hosts to 125 runs in their chase.
The 28-year-old was adjudged as the man of the match for his match winning performance.
