I don't understand how the odds etc work?

I put 25p each way on slim pickings and comply or die. ( I know not much but i put more on other horses stupidly!.) slim pickings had the odds 12/1 and comply or die 10/1. I worked out that i should have got six pounds but i only got £4:67 or something like that. Is this right?

place part pays 12/4 + 1 x 0.25 = 1.00

Total payout

2.75 + 0.88 + 1.00= £4.63
