okay the directions on my workbook are very complicated.

DIRECTIONS: Justine wrote an ad for the paper to find an American boy as a pen pal. Unfortunately, the person typing the ad made some mistakes. Can you find and correct the ten errors? Rewrite the ad underling the words you've corrected.

JD 15 ans, mignon, ni grand ni petit, intelligent, blond, yeux bleus, aime danser, le jazz, le cinema, deteste le sport. Ch. corr. JF americane, 13 a 16 ans, belle, sympa, pas gourmande, aime etudier. JEC REF 23756

then it gives abbreviations

J= Jeune

F=fille

G=garson

ch- cherche

corr.= correspondant

JEC- Journal d'Exchanges Cuturels.

REF- reference.

I just don't understand what I am suppose to do! We learned about how to choose fem. or masc. adjectives but I don't know what this part of my workbook wants me to write down! It all seems correct the way it is when I add the abbreviations. HELP!

pg.3 on Cahier d'activites for anyone who has the book. from Holt, Rinehart and Winston.

  1. I LOVE MY FRENCH TEACHER BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS SORRY!

  2. You are supposed to go through the ad, underline the incorrect words in it, then rewrite it correctly.

  3. Agree w/ Old Lady, but for example, correct JD to JG, then insure all words referring to the J garcon  are masculin. I don't see 10 errors, either. Add articles where appropriate.
