I don't understand????????

The movie STAY? the ending? did Henry survive? and was that whole thing a dream or what?

i believe it was supposed to be a some sort of vision-type thing as the Henry character died.  like his brain took in the information around him and translated it as it did in one final synaptical hurrah.

The car crash of the first scene is then reprised. Henry is apparently the sole survivor of the crash, but is badly injured and suffers survivor guilt. In another scene, however, Sam and Lila, who have never met one another, are in the traffic on the bridge and try to save his life, but he dies.
