I don't wanna hurt animals, but would I do it?

Question

When I witness the killing of an animal, it always makes me feel terrible and sympathetic, which leads me to question what I would do if I were starving and near death and my only way of obtaining food was to kill an animal? Do you think my survival instincts would dominate my state of mind when sated if I were under such a circumstance?

I don't know about you but I 100% would not ever do that I would eat dirt and poisonous plants before I would ever do that

There is a book from years ago about a soccer team (I believe) that was in an airplane crash and where they ended up actually eating human flesh.  Wish I could remember the name of the book - cause it is going to bug me till I do now.....  anyway -

So - possible.  Something that you really wouldn't know till you are in that situation.

Edit:  Person above me put down the name of the movie about the book that I wrote of.  Don't think that was the title of the book - not that it matters - but still now going to go and find out by doing a search on Amazon.

You would do whatever you could to survive, just as I would, unless there is something wrong with you.

No,dont do this . Think it when you eat flesh of animalas it burns(digested) inyour stomach like the dead body burns in a grave yard.Similarly if you eat flesh of animals your stomach is working as a grave yard for that dead animal.Better to avoid the non vegetatian food.

I would feel bad as well to kill an animal but if that animal was starving too because if it wasn't I would just eat what they were eating.. But if we both were starving I would eat it because I would feel bad watching the animal starve and also it is survival. As of right now I do not need animals to survive there are other options but I suppose if it came down to it I would eat animals.

As long as there were some form of plant life and human life (which there would be unless you stranded somewhere like alaska by myself which would be highly unlikely) I would not kill an animal.

I think the instinct to survive would take over.

Watch the movie "Alive". ( or you can read a book about these people.)

In the 1970's, a plane went down in the Andes Mountains. Some people survived the crash. The temperature was below zero, snow, no way for them to find help. In order to survive, they ended up eating the flesh of the dead passengers. True story.

I don't think anyone knows what they'll do until they're in a situation.

It makes no difference.  Since you are NOT starving and near death, allowing what you would do in such a situation to influence your dietary choices is ludicrous and illogical.

i dont know about you, but in order to survive i'd probably eat a human being too.
