I don't want a leash!?

Question

The playgroup (just 4 of my friends and there kids) are all going to an amusment park for the day. We don't like child leashes, but want that thing on Jon&Kate Plus 8. It's a big rope with colored rings so everyone walks. They are 2-11. I know the oldest few can make she the kids hold on to the rings. Then littlest ones can go in the stroller. We plan on breaking a lot and mostly going on rides, so we won't need to worry about there feet getting tired. What are they called?

This is just one girls opinion but you will look dumb as h**l walking around an amusement park with that stupid rope!  If 4 parents are going why can't everyone just take care of their own kids like they do everyday, anywhere else they go?  Trust me as someone who used to work for Disney, that idea will be totally impractical in an amusement park.  Make sure each adult has a cell phone (borrow if need be) and that you have #'s for each other so if you seperate you can hook back up easily.   Talk to your kids about what to do if they get lost, (don't go any where with a stranger unless they are wearing the name tag and uniform of park workers).  And relax - if the worst happens the parks have great security in place and all the workers are used to dealing with lost parents.

The Hold-A-Ring walking rope will work best when kids are close to the same age/same size.   Since the ages are 2-11 (and I suppose the heights of these kids will vary greatly) then some rings will be high, other rings low and the rope in between will be more vertical then horizontal.    Are there at least 4 little ones who are close to the same size?.     There are 10 rings in all so an adult will have to carry the extra rings/rope or it'll drag on the ground.    Or maybe you can just cut the rope to make it shorter.
