When I have my c-section I really don't want kids in my visiting room. I don't want anybody really except my husband and son!

But I won't be that antisocial I will let family visit me.

I've had one c-section before and I'm already freaked by the pain that I know that I will be going through again.

On one hand - I kind of don't want to offend my mother in law who has custody of two of my husbands sisters kids (5 and 6) as well as her 17 year old son. I also don't want to offend my husbands aunt who takes care of her (13 year old grandson).

On the other hand - I don't care I'm going to be knocked out and in pain. They can all go see our new baby in the nursery and leave me alone!

What do you think?

  1. just let them know how you feel.

  2. just tell them how you feel and tell the hospital staff that you dont people in there

  3. It's whatever you want...they will just have to deal with it.

  4. The 5 and 6 year old, and any other children under the age of 12 except for your other children, will not be allowed to visit.

If you tell your doctor and/or nurses of your wishes, they will abide by them and make it seem like it is their order instead of yours.

If you only want your husband adn son, be antisocial and only allow them in there.  This is about YOU, not everyone else.  Like you said-they can see the baby through the nursery window.  You and your husband and son need time to bond with the new baby, you need time to recover.

That said, your repeat cesarean might not be that difficult.  I had a cesarean with my firstborn, and the recovery was difficult and I was in the hospital for 3+ days after the cesarean.  My second child was VBAC, but my third was another cesarean.  It was, by far, my easiest recovery.  I got out of the hospital after 24 hours with my second, and wanted to do the same with my third but waited until about 36 hours.

Anyway, congratulations!  I wish you the best.
