  1. Section 8 is for people who cannot afford living expenses. If you are married and your combined income makes you ineligible for Section 8, the only way to get around it is by committing fraud.

If you choose to commit fraud, someone else who really needs Section 8 funding will nt receive it becuase you are taking their share even though you do not need it.

  2. Of course she will lose the housing voucher.  it is for a single person not a couple.  After marrying you could reapply but with an added income you will most likely be over the limit.   Stop looking to cheat the system.  That program is for families in need.

  3. If you and your girlfriend together exceed the maximum income requirements for Section 8, you do not need to be on it!  If together, you still meet the qualifitcations, then you would have to reapply as a couple

  4. Section 8 is a program for low income housing. The thing is to assist these families in becoming self sufficient where they can pay there own rent.  It is income based so I'm sure if you meet federal guidelines regarding income levels you could stay there and you all could continue to remainm on the program.  Truth be told if you are not ready to be self sufficient marriage is not a good idea at this time. but as a previous employee of HUD, it is not at all advised that you all continue to utilize housing that is set up for the less fortunate.  I believe that if you are ready for marriage that you should be able to afford housing for your new family.  If you are staying overnight for more than 10 nights a month she is already in violation of the program.  Get your priorities straight.  If you want this marriage you two need to be able to foot your own rental payments.
