go to your myYahoo page and in the upper right hand side there is an option to edit your Avatar.  That sillouette is an Avatar that you can change and create!  It's kinda fun picking out the clothes and accessories for your avatar.  

Once you have created the look you want, go back to yahoo answers and go to your profile then click the option that uses your yahoo avatar in yahoo answers....and wa-la its done!

Hello,

If you like cartoon kind of picture which is called as "Avatar", go to http://avatars.yahoo.com/

1) Click on "Appearance" at the tool-bar -- to select "Face, Eyes, Hair & colors of eyes & hair colors";

2) "Apparel" --- for Clothes;

3) "Extras" --- for jewellery, Glasses, Hats, pets,  etc.,

4) Next on "Backgrounds" & "Branded", etc.,

5) After you have selected all the items you like, click on "Save Changes" in the Orange box (located below to the Avatar);

**You can also save some of your most liked items in *My Favorites by clicking on +Add to my favorites located above to every item.

TO Show this Avatar at Yahoo Answers::

Click on your name or the grey man picture :)

You will get your "My Profile" page;

Click on "Edit My Info", you will get "Edit My Profile Page";

Select "Use my Yahoo Avatar" option at Picture column;

Click Preview, then click OK.
