  1. If you are using Windows, click Start/Control Panel/Folder Options and click on the "View" tab.

Now, uncheck the very first option, it is "Automatically search for network folders and printers".

I have a lot more tips, but this one will speed up your internet  a lot for you, just e-mail me from here if you want more tips.

  2. You are talking about your Internet speed, right? Well, certainly a RAM upgrade will greatly improve your PC performance but I doubt you'll notice a significant increase in your Internet connection. Among the few things you can do, if you get your internet using a wireless, change it to CAT6 ethernet cable; use an Internet browser without addons that may slow it down (although there are a few addons out there to increase speed), Do not run p2p applications (lime Limewire or Bittorrent) when you are working and eliminate any useless application that may eat your bandwidth (if it needs Internet to work, then you have to share your bandwidth with that application).

  3. you don't need more ram, but a better modem or change your ISP (Internet service provider) ram only increases computer performance. and no mater how little you have it will not make a difference with the internet speed if you have more.

  4. RAM will not speed up your internet connection at all. It will only impact your ability to run local applications faster. If you need faster internet connection you would need to talk to your internet provider.
